South Africa has so many wonderful places to visit, be it for some decent rest and relaxation or some heart racing adventure to get rid of the Lockdown Blues once and for all. Because there are so many places to visit, we decided to give some more places to visit for a well-deserved Post Lockdown Holiday.

KZN

Kwazulu Natal has a lot going for it when it comes to holiday destinations. The waters are almost always nice and warm, the climate is great and there are plenty of places to visit. For those who are in Port Edward or surrounds, the Wild Coast Sun water park is a great place to visit for both kids and adults alike. For Great accommodation, beautiful views and close proximity to the beach, Forever Resorts Natalia is the place to be. Plenty of living space, daily activities for kiddies as well as an arcade and swimming pools, you wouldn’t want to leave. Margate is one of the most visited destinations in KZN with absolutely beautiful beaches, warm waters, curio shops everywhere and the iconic beach sand sculptures.

Western Cape

A Popular destination when in the Western Cape is the Cape Peninsula. There are plenty of amazing places to visit including Simon’s town where you can visit the naval museum to join a tour of the breath taking museum, the V&A Waterfront which is a world known tourist destination located just below Table Mountain. You can go shopping at the V&A Waterfront mall, do shark cage diving at Two Oceans, helicopter tours over Cape Town, ride the Wheel of Excellence and also do some seal watching. You can visit many of the wineries that can be found in the Cape Winelands and experience all the different wines that each have their own unique taste and history attached.

Northern Cape

When visiting in the Northern Cape, it is definitely worth it to visit Kimberly. Kimberly is home to The Big Hole, the location of the diamond rush that happened 150 years ago. Originally a flat topped mountain that was mined down to the hole that can now be seen today. You can also visit the McGregor Museum, a large building previously known as the old Kimberly Sanatorium. It was in this building where Cecil John Rhodes was held up during the Siege of Kimberly from 1899 to 1900. The McGregor Museum includes displays of natural history, the Siege of Kimberly, the acclaimed Ancestors Gallery and the Hall of Religion.

Free State

The Free State has a surprising amount of things to do to make a great holiday experience. You can visit the Free State Botanical Gardens for a wonderful experience in a breath taking natural landscape that is home to over 151 different species to make for a very memorable experience. The Free State is also great place to take part in some exciting river rafting experiences. With so many beautiful and amazing rivers in South Africa, River rafting is always a different and memorable experience.
